Academic Qualification:
B.E (Electronics &TC) from BE College, Calcutta University,
Post Graduate Diploma in Quality Management from Lucknow University.
Member :Aeronautical Society of India

Retired as Executive Director (Engg, R&D) leading the of HAL R&D Centres with an about 40 years of design experience.

He was responsible for Avionics Upgrade for Jaguar, Mirage, Hawk aircraft and Helicopters first time in India and also integration of AESA Radar was done successfully on Jaguar for first time in Asia. He was also main force for indigenous certified (ARINC 653) RTOS (Real time Operating System). Design of about 20 Flight worthy units are in his credit.

He was awarded the RakshaMantri’s ‘Award of Excellence for first time design and certification of Indigenous Mission Computer Software. He was awarded ‘Excellence in Design’ in HAL. He scrutinized DDPMAS (Design, Development, Productionisation, Manufacturing for Airborne Stores) released by Min. of Defence (CEMILAC) for certification of Software . He was an External Expert member for Divisional Scientific Committee (DSC) for Aerospace Electronics and System Division of NAL. He is also working as Adjunct Professor at IIT-KGP for last 6 years
