International Workshop on
How mutations reshape protein function in disease biology?
February 6–7, 2026
Organized by
Centre for Health Science and Technology (CHeST)
JIS Institute of Advanced Studies and Research (JISIASR), JIS University
The workshop aims to provide the participants with a comprehensive understanding of modern approaches used to explore the structure, function, and dynamics of biological macromolecules as a foundation toward addressing the emerging challenges of drug design in healthcare, thereby fostering global collaborations and strengthening the research capacity.
This is not just a workshop — it’s a career-defining opportunity
To gain practical skills in need-of-the-hour structural biology and bioinformatics tools that are essential for modern research and highly valued in the global job market.
To learn directly from international experts and engage in hands-on sessions that strengthen the ability to analyze, model, and interpret biomolecular structures.
To expand professional network, build collaborations, and enhance the competitiveness for research positions, fellowships, and industry opportunities worldwide.
To present research in a dedicated poster session, receive expert feedback, and increase the scientific visibility and impact.
Learn from global pioneers in biomolecular modeling and disease biology

Topics include original research / review works on structural biology in human diseases
We are pleased to invite abstract submissions for poster presentations at the workshop. Authors are encouraged to submit insightful research / review works that align with the workshop’s thematic focus. Submissions may include completed studies or works-in-progress that present substantial preliminary findings. All abstracts must be submitted on a single A4 page in PDF format only. The abstract should include the following components: Title, Author(s), Affiliation(s), Main Text, and a concise section for References. The main text must be written in English, using Times New Roman, 11-point font, and single line spacing. A maximum of two figures / tables are permitted. Multiple authors may be listed; however, one must be designated as the corresponding author, whose full contact details must be clearly indicated. Notably, the submitters must mention whether their submitted work is an original research or review.
All submitted abstracts will undergo a blind peer-review process conducted by our distinguished panel of reviewers. Evaluation will be based on scientific quality, relevance, clarity, adherence to formatting guidelines, and originality. Submissions with instances of plagiarism (> 15%) will be rejected outright.
