Professional Biography:
Bijitaswa Chakraborty is a researcher in Business Analytics and Financial Analytics, currently working at the Centre for Data Science, JIS Institute of Advanced Studies and Research (JISIASR), Kolkata. He has recently submitted his Ph.D. thesis at IIT Kharagpur, where his work focused on applying advanced analytical methods to financial decision-making.
His research and teaching span Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Text Analytics, and Decision-Making under Uncertainty, with applied contributions in stock price forecasting, portfolio optimization, and financial fraud detection using explainable AI. His broader interests lie in leveraging data-driven insights, predictive modeling, and emerging technologies to improve business decision processes in today’s competitive and data-intensive environment.
