CIS is committed to emerge as a research group of global reach in the design and development of novel bio-materials including polymeric and nanomaterials along with sensor technology and IoT adhering to the norms of industries with green and sustainable alternatives to existing materials for cutting edge applications. The centre is also focusing in innovation and design science with the concept of integration of interdisciplinary technologies resulting in hi-tech complex industrial products.

Institutional collaboration with IIT Kharagpur in education and research. The primary objective is to promote interaction and collaboration between the faculty members and the students of the two institutions through resource sharing, joint academic and research programs, joint supervision of masters and doctoral students, joint academic activities and events, along with student exchange programs.
MoU signed with Mahatma Gandhi University (MGU), Kottayam. MGU and JISIASR have agreed for institutional collaboration in education and research. The objective is to promote interaction and collaboration between faculty and students of the two institutes through visits and exchange programs, and via joint academic and interdisciplinary research activities.
MoU signed with Hongik University (HU), South Korea in the context of exchange of faculty members and students, collaborative research and projects, cultural activities, joint conference and exhibition towards developing a scientific and research oriented ecosystem.
JISIASR has signed a MoU with Indian Paint Association (IPA) to promote skill development and introduce several academic courses on paints and coating. The primary objective is to promote interaction and collaboration between faculty and students of the two. It also aims at enhancing the technological, social and cultural ambience of both institutions.
