What is National Science Day?National Science Day is celebrated in India every year on 28th February to mark the discovery of great phenomena called “Raman Effect” by Sir C.V. Raman on this day in 1928. The discovery won him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. The first National Science Day was celebrated in India on 28th February, 1987. Purpose of the CelebrationThe basic objective of the observation of National Science Day is to spread the message of importance of science and its application among the people. National Science Day is celebrated as one of the main science festivals in India every year.
